Privacy Policy

About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Music And Podcasts by Ben-Divers (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects your information when you use our mobile application Metrolist — Music & Podcasts (the “App”) distributed on Google Play. The App is free and is supported by advertising shown through Google AdMob and other ad networks.
By downloading or using the App you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. This policy is written to comply with the Google Play User Data policy and applicable privacy laws including the EU/UK GDPR and the California CCPA/CPRA.
Information we collect
You do not need to create an account to use the App, and we do not ask you for your name, email, contacts, photos or precise GPS location. However, to display ads, measure performance and keep the App working, we and our service providers automatically collect:
- Advertising identifier — your device’s Google Advertising ID (AAID), used to serve and measure ads.
- Device & app information — device model, operating-system version, language, app version and settings.
- Network & approximate location — IP address and the coarse region/country derived from it (not precise GPS).
- Usage & ad interactions — in-app events, features used, and ad impressions, clicks and views.
- Diagnostics — crash logs and performance data used to fix bugs and improve stability.
This data is collected through the advertising and analytics SDKs integrated in the App and may be considered personal data under some laws.
How we use your information
- Display advertising, including personalized or non-personalized ads.
- Measure ad performance and prevent ad fraud and invalid traffic.
- Operate, maintain and improve the App and its features.
- Diagnose crashes, troubleshoot issues and ensure security.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Advertising & third-party networks
The App shows ads through Google AdMob and may use AdMob mediation to display ads from additional third-party ad networks. These partners use your advertising ID and the data above to serve, cap, personalize and measure ads. Each partner processes data under its own privacy policy:
Learn more about how Google AdMob uses data here, how Google’s partner sites and apps use data here, and read the Google Privacy Policy. The list of networks may change over time as we update the App.
How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share the limited data described above only with:
- Advertising and analytics partners (listed above) so they can serve and measure ads.
- Service providers that help us operate the App, bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Authorities or third parties where required by law, or to protect rights, safety and prevent fraud.
Some sharing for personalized advertising may be treated as a “sale” or “sharing” under California law; see your choices below to opt out.
Consent (EU / UK users)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the App uses a Google-certified consent mechanism (a Consent Management Platform) to ask for your permission before showing personalized ads, as required by the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive. You may grant or refuse consent, and you can change your choice at any time in the App’s privacy/consent settings. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting prior processing.
Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes above. Advertising identifiers and ad-related data are retained by our ad partners according to their own policies (typically a limited period for fraud prevention and reporting). Diagnostic and crash data are kept for a short period to investigate problems and then deleted or anonymized.
Security & international transfers
We and our partners use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit, to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Because our advertising partners operate globally, your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States; appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) are applied where required.
Children
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us at ben.diversb@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.
Your privacy choices & rights
You are in control of your data and can exercise the following options:
- Opt out of personalized ads or reset your advertising ID in Settings → Google → Ads, or via your Google Ad Settings.
- Withdraw consent (EU/UK) at any time in the App’s consent settings.
- Stop all collection by uninstalling the App.
- Access, correction or deletion — under the GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and similar laws you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and object to or restrict certain processing. California residents may opt out of “sale”/“sharing” and will not be discriminated against for exercising their rights.
To make a request, email us at ben.diversb@gmail.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Changes & contact
We may update this policy from time to time and will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected here and, where appropriate, in the App. For any question or request about your privacy, contact Music And Podcasts by Ben-Divers at ben.diversb@gmail.com.
